Piano For All – My Top Pick

Piano For All is one of the best online piano lessons you can buy.

Not only is it an amazing course; but it's also one of the most affordable.

Piano For All uses what they call a ‘Logical' approach to teaching piano.

It's a clever and well-structured piano course to help you learn the piano quickly.

How their ‘Logical' approach works is that you learn a specific skill with each step, and apply it to the next lesson.

While learning one new skill, you are perfecting that same skill in the next lesson.

It is a very clever way of learning that allows you to learn piano with Piano For All quickly.

Piano For All says you only need 20 minutes a day to learn piano and learn it very well.

After a couple of days you will see some quick improvements.

What Do You Get When You Buy Piano For All?

Piano For All includes 9 Interactive eBooks that cover heaps of content.

The 9 eBooks cover a range of topics including:

  • Party Time – Rhythm Style Piano
  • Blues Rock & Roll
  • Chord Magic
  • Advanced Chords Made Easy
  • Ballad Style
  • All That Jazz & Blues
  • Advanced Blues & Fake Stride
  • Taming The Classics
  • Speed Learning

Here's a sample lesson video lesson below.

How Much Does Piano For All Cost?

One of the best things about Piano For All is the affordable price.

Most of the best online piano lessons are now priced as subscription-based services that are billed monthly or annually.

Instead, Piano For All is a very affordable one-off payment.

Sessions

This course usually costs a one-off $79 fee, but you can pick up a download copy here $39.

Flowkey Piano – 2nd Place Pick

Flowkey is a relatively new program, but it's gathered ground quickly and become one of the best online piano lessons you can buy right now.

Flowkey has a very new style of learning.

It mixes your standard type of learning with learning new songs you will enjoy playing.

Flowkey is very popular among the younger generation.

Simply download the Flowkey app to your laptop or tablet and you are ready to go.

What Do You Get With Flowkey?

I have done a full in-depth review of what you get when you buy Flowkey piano, and you can find that Flowkey Review Here.

But, I will give you a brief run-through on what you can expect when you download the course.

Flowkey Piano has a very nice modern web layout and that easy to navigate.

When you go to the Home Page you can see at the top of the screen the various skill level options (see below).

You can also filter by genre like Pop Hits, Classical, etc.

Flowkey can show you how to play your favorite songs in minutes with step by step chords and highlighted keys that are easy to follow.

In my Flowkey Review, I selected beginner as an example and choose Mamma Mia by Abba as my song.

As you can see in the image below, the screen splits in two.

As the song plays, you can see the chords for the song along with a digital keyboard that highlights to keynote as you play.

I must say, it's a very intuitive way of learning and is a lot of fun.

I love how you can learn to play your favorite songs quickly, rather than the same old songs.

Step By Step Course Also Included

Flowkey Piano is an online piano course and a song learning program mashed into one.

Yes, you can learn your favorite songs, but you also get a very good course included.

The course is very good for any beginner looking to learn the piano and includes the following modules:

  • Introduction To Piano
  • Playing With Both Hands
  • Intermediate Piano Playing
  • Mastering Chords
  • Improvising With Chords
  • Music Reading Training
  • Playing Skills
  • Playing Skills II

How Much Does Flowkey Cost?

Flowkey Piano pricing works as part of a subscription-based service.

Which is more common than one of purchases these days.

A monthly subscription will cost you $19.99 every month, which is decent value when you consider the content and new modern songs regularly added to the library.

However, you do have the option to buy every 3 months, annually, or a one-off payment at discounted prices.

For example, an annual subscription will save you $120 a month, which comes in at $9.99.

The same as your Netflix or Spotify subscription.

Most people who first use Flowkey try the 14-day free trial, then move into a monthly subscription.

After a few months, people do decide to opt for the annual subscription which will save a lot of money.

Piano Marvel

Piano Marvel is one of the best online piano lessons available right now.

It offers a brilliant interactive way of learning that is very easy to follow and fun to learn.

The Piano Marvel learning process is very easy to follow.

They use short frequent interactive video lessons to start learning to play the piano.

When you start learning with Piano Marvel (Full Review Here), the course is quite intensive; but that's a good thing I think.

Once you click into any of the lessons on the right-hand side you, an interactive video lesson will pop on screen and you simply watch and listen.

There's also a PDF download of each lesson you can download and recap when you're want to look after over what you have learned.

Piano Marvel knows that people are eager to get started and do not mess around with theory and waffle at the beginning.

They get you playing right away in the very first lesson which is great.

New Songs Added Regularly

Piano Marvel is very good at adding new music to their library every week.

Just recently they added sings from Lewis Capaldi, Ed Sheeran, and a lot of songs from new musicals like The Greatest Showman and Disney's Aladdin remake.

You can choose from over 3000 songs; and Piano Marvel will show you the chords you need to play the song.

You can also filter the song lists by beginner, intermediate, advanced, and even professional.

One thing I would say is that you need the full subscription to get access to the full song library. Can you download software for imprintor on a macbook.

It's a pity when you put Flowkey vs Piano Marvel head to head; that Piano Marvel don't highlight the relevant key chords when playing.

Flowkey highlights the keys when you are playing to help you learn quicker.

I mentioned this in my Piano Marvel Review; and I feel it was it's biggest drawback.

How Much Does Piano Marvel Cost?

Piano Marvel price has two payment options. Monthly or annual subscriptions.

A monthly subscription would be the most popular of the two.

There is a free account option that is great to get you started.

It offers some basic lessons and exercises.

However, the long list is limited to 50 songs, and they aren't great.

If you were to use the monthly subscription method; which will cost you $15.99 per month on a rolling basis.

Overall the price isn't bad; and it's cheaper than a lot of other options.

But, You can use Instrumental Global's discount code to get it for $12.99 a month – ($12.99 with my discount code).

If you were to get an annual subscription for $110.99; it works out at $9.94 per month which is very reasonable to be fair.

Playground Sessions

Playground Sessions is a very popular online piano course that was co-created with famous record producer and composer Quincy Jones.

PG (Playground Sessions) designed their course around the whole idea of being fun.

I think they are right to do this.

Learning the piano should be fun.

The old school way of learning piano is done I think.

Drowning students in boring theory that makes so many of them quit before they ever get going.

How Does Playground Sessions Work?

I mentioned above how PG wants to make learning piano fun. How do they do that?

Well, they use popular songs to teach you how to start playing.

PG thinks that if you love listening to music; you already know a lot more music theory than you think.

So by using rhythms and melodies from your popular songs, you can familiarise yourself with these sounds to get a good understand of the music principals.

When you visit the curriculum section, you can choose from several ‘Bootcamp Lessons'. These include:

  • Rookie
  • Intermediate
  • Advanced
  • Keyboard Skills
  • Notation
  • Rhythm
  • Playing by Ear

Once you click into each section, you will see a list of lessons on the left-hand side of the page, with a video box at the top of the screen.

The lessons are quick and easy to follow.

Adobe cs5 5 design premium free download mac download. The videos aren't too long and the piano teacher is a likable guy.

What I liked was how you are seeing a person.

It makes getting lessons that bit more real; rather than looking at a keyboard on your screen.

Seeing a teacher in front of you; you feel they are engaging with you more and working directly with you.

I think this is important; and it's why I think Playground Sessions is one of the best online piano lessons you can but.

You can also use Playground Sessions on PC, Mac & iPad.

The iPad is probably one of the most popular options as it's small, portable, and roughly the size of one page of sheet music.

It sits nicely in front of players on the piano.

Playground Sessions Cost

Playground sessions work on a subscription basis like most of the best online piano lessons I have mentioned above; except for Piano For All.

Not only is it an amazing course; but it's also one of the most affordable.

Playground sessions work on a subscription basis like most of the best online piano lessons I have mentioned above; except for Piano For All.

PG starts @ $17.99 per month.

It works out slightly more expensive than Piano Marvel but just under the cost of Flowkey Piano.

You also have the option like Flowkey & Piano Marvel to get an annual subscription to save a lot in costs.

This then works out at $9.99 per month.

There is an option for a lifetime membership, but I don't think it's worth going for that right away.

I will leave that up to you, but I would be sure to try it for a few months first before committing to a lifetime sub.

Best Online Piano Lessons – Which Would I Pick?

Piano For All – My Top Pick

Piano For All is an excellent online piano course that will teach you how to play the piano.

It works like the others using interactive lessons, except it's done through an eBook rather than an app or Web App.

Aside from being a brilliant piano program; it's very reasonably priced, costing you less than a one to one lesson with a teacher.

But not only that; it's yours to keep for life.

There are no monthly or annual subs. A one-off payment for $39.

Not bad! Especially when you compare it to Playground Sessions' lifetime payment for $289.

Flowkey Piano – Runner Up

There's something about Flowkey Piano that just draws you in.

It does it all; it teaches you piano, shows you how to play your favorite songs; and it's regularly updated.

Although Flowkey Piano does offer some piano lessons and will teach you piano; it's more of a song learning application.

Don't get me wrong, it is brilliant. It's so much fun to use, and very popular among younger users.

However, I feel it might be better for someone after they know how to play the piano and are more interested in learning to play new songs all the time.

That being said, you learn as you do; and by learning to play their song tutorials, you are learning to play piano.

It does have the beginner classes included like I said – so you will learn piano with it.

Playground Sessions Virtual Piano Lessons Pc/mac software download, free

The only thing I don't like about Flowkey is the fact it's subscription-based.

However, this is becoming a bit of the norm now with Piano Marvel & Playground sessions being the same.

This is why Piano For All is my number one pick.
